Jenn Mann resigns position with ND Times
The Times would like to extend a heartfelt “thanks and farewell” to its Marketing Coordinator, Jennifer (Jenn) Mann, who has resigned her position with us to spend more time with her garden, her music, and her family.
Jenn was originally hired by North Grenville Times Inc to handle the marketing specifically for The North Dundas Times. Her employment was transferred to the new business under Brandon Mayer’s ownership when he purchased the rights to the local paper in January of 2025. Jenn helped many clients with their advertising needs, and will be greatly missed as a member of the Times team. We wish her success in her future endeavors.
Since Jenn’s departure, the Times reached out to a potential candidate to fill the Marketing Coordinator role, but after some consideration, that candidate determined that she would not have the time required to meet the duties of the role. As such, the decision has been made – at least for the short term – to handle the particulars of the Marketing Coordinator role internally. It will be a shared duty amongst the Times team members.
What does this mean for local businesses and community groups wishing to advertise? The only change is that Jenn’s phone number should no longer be used as a point of contact. Feel free to contact our office number at 613-550-3456 for any advertising inquiries. Please note: the Times is a part time operation driven by community spirit. All three members of the Times team are employed full time elsewhere, and work tirelessly during off hours to make the paper a success. Our phone number is therefore largely used as a messaging system, with a member of our team returning your call when we are available.
Email remains the most efficient way to reach us. It avoids “phone tag” and allows precise exchanges regarding matters such as ad pricing, and lets clients submit ads and content. For advertising inquiries, the correct email address is marketing@ndtimesnews.ca. Jenn’s email – jenn@ndtimesnews.ca – will continue to function and will forward to the marketing address to be answered by a member of our team. A complete set of contact information can always be found on our website at https://www.ndtimesnews.ca/contact/ but don’t sweat it – no matter what means of contact you choose, we will make sure you are taken care of.
The North Dundas Times has been an important part of the community for nearly five years, with the first issue published in November of 2020. It pays for itself but seldom generates a profit – owner Brandon (Brando) is happy to put the work in to let the community keep its free newspaper, allowing all important updates to be included in one convenient and universally accessible bi-weekly publication that is distributed to all. Businesses get the opportunity for promotion and marketing, and in turn, they fund the printing and distribution of local news and updates on community events and other pertinent content.
We are happy to help with your business or event advertising needs. For community or charity events, we strive to provide free promotion when possible, but even when we must charge in order to keep our business sustainable (printing and distribution are not free, after all), we love working within our clients’ budgets to provide the best service possible.
As always, enjoy your copies of the Times, and don’t be shy about getting in touch if you have a news story, or marketing needs.
